London’s Secret Vegan Gem: Baozi Inn’s Chinese & Southeast Asian Cuisine

London’s Secret Vegan Gem: Baozi Inn’s Chinese & Southeast Asian Cuisine

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Baozi Inn to try their new vegan and veggie menu, and I can confidently say it’s some of the best Chinese and Southeast Asian food I’ve ever had in London. From the moment the dishes arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful presentation and bold flavours. Each dish was distinct, offering a unique taste experience. We devoured everything from perfectly crisp, non-greasy deep-fried asparagus with sweet chili mayo to the iconic vegetarian Mapo Tofu, a vibrant mix of preserved mustard greens, chili, and Sichuan peppercorns.

The Dan Dan noodles, probably my favourite, were a total standout. They clung beautifully to the rich and complex Sichuan sauce. A must-order! Great for sharing, the dumplings were flavour explosions in delicate dough. I’d happily reorder everything.

Every Monday they have Green Monday where they serve only vegetarian & vegan dishes in order to try to embrace a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. And they offer 25% discount!

They have two branches. One in Soho (24 Romilly St London W1D 5AH) and one in London Bridge (34-36 Southwark St, London SE1 1TU).
